Sylvain Haon joined Polis in 2003 after several years of experience in transport and European affairs. He was appointed executive director in 2006.
Before becoming executive director, Sylvain has coordinated the project Pilot on sustainable urban transport plans. He is managing Polis secretariat.. Sylvain is directly involved in the projects Icars and Link and in technology platforms such as Ertrac.

Karen Vancluysen has extensive experience in consulting and city networks in the field of mobility.
Karen overviews all Polis research and project activities. She is particularly involved in the projects Silence and Catalist.
Karen speaks English, Dutch and French, and has some knowledge of Italian.

Anna is a project manager at Polis, working on European projects CATCH, CIVITAS VANGUARD and PRESTO. Anna has a PhD in transport science.
Previously, Anna worked on the CVIS project.
Anna speaks English and French, has a good knowledge of Spanish and a basic knowledge of Swedish.

Ivo Cré has extensive experience in city networks, consulting and politics in the field of mobility.
Ivo leads Polis thematic pillar on the Social and Economic Aspects of Transport. He is currently working on NICHES+, CIVITAS VANGUARD, CIVITAS CATALIST and STADIUM.
He has worked in the past on ASK-IT, CURACAO, ECLIPSE and CVIS projects.
Ivo speaks English, Dutch and French.

Suzanne coordinates Polis membership services. She leads the Mobility and Traffic Efficiency thematic pillar. Suzanne is particularly involved in the Citymobil project.

Julie is Polis Office manager.
She is also strongly involved in the organisation of Polis and European events.
Julie speaks English and French. WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?The Polis office is situated on avenue du Trône, within walking distance from place du Luxembourg, Luxembourg train station, Metro station Trône (direct from gare du midi) and the European Parliament.
It is also conveniently located nearby several European Commission's offices and regional authorities representations in Brussels.
From Eurostar or Thalys
From Gare du Midi/Zuidstation, take the metro lines 2 or 6, direction Simonis (Elisabeth) to Trône, and walk five minutes down on Rue du trône.
From Brussels Airport
Taxi costs about 30 EUR.
Train+Metro (+/-30 mn): take the Airport City Express train service into Brussels to Gare du Midi; then take the metro line 2 “Simonis” to Trône. (fare 2.35 EUR).
Airport bus (+/- 30 mn): a direct bus, operated by STIB, also links Brussels airport to place du Luxembourg. From place du Luxembourg, walk on rue d'Idalie and turn right on rue du Trône (fare 3 euros bought from machine, 5 euros on board).
