Polis is a network of European cities and regions working together to deploy innovative technologies and policies for a more sustainable mobility.
Arnhem and Nijmegen aim at organizing the international bicycle conference ‘Velo-city’ in 2017. The municipalities of both cities therefore submitted a bid book with the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF), in cooperation with the Province of Gelderland and the Arnhem-Nijmegen City Region, a member of the Polis network.Read more
The Berlin Traffic Control Centre (VMZ) has launched an innovative multimodal Mobility App for electric car-sharing services run by DriveNow. The App was developed in the framework of the European project MOLECULES which aims to foster the take-up of electro-mobility solutions across European cities.Read more

A webinar on Sustainable Energy Action Plans and Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans –analysing and planning for energy efficient urban mobility will take place on 10 September 2014 at 2pm CET, lasting for approximately 90 minutes. Italy’s Transport Minister, Maurizio Lupi, has announced that an informal Transport Council meeting will take place on the 16 and 17 of September in Milan within the framework of the Italian Presidency of the EU. The topic of the meeting will be Urban Mobility.

Parking is important for the redefinition of the role of cities, between the "motorway" culture and re-urbanisation. Centralised parking in cities has been proven to decrease the dependency on car trips and improve the urban public space. However, implementing integrated parking strategies is a challenging task, for both local authorities and parking operators.
